Hall Thermotank Marine Systems has the engineering and technical expertise to provide the complete end-to-end marine HVAC and refrigeration design service.
We develop innovative, value-adding solutions using either standard or bespoke technology and have established a reputation for overcoming complex HVAC and NBCD / CBRN challenges whilst working to the tightest of deadlines.
In addition, we have developed a unique approach that enables us to work closely alongside customers throughout the design process to deliver best-in-class systems for each application.
As such, we have completed many of the world's prestigious naval contracts including Royal Navy Type 23 Frigates, HMS Ocean and Queen Elizabeth Aircraft Carriers, Hellenic Navy Roussen Class Fast Attack Crafts, Royal Malaysian Navy Lekiu Class Frigates and Brazilian Navy Amazonas Class Offshore Patrol Vessels.
As a leading naval sector specialist, we support the defence industry and navies around the world and have a design support arrangement with the UK’s MoD. As part of this agreement, we have updated the naval engineering standard for HVAC systems on surface ships – DEFSTAN 02-102. J & E Hall are the original authors and provide subsequent update information for the naval engineering standard for HVAC systems.
Our design services encompass: • HVAC systems in accordance with relevant regulations • Air conditioning plant and refrigeration systems • NBCD / CBRN air filtration systems • Post contract design support
