The new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) come into effect 25th May 2018 so please take 2 minutes to watch this special video message from Andrew Bowden, our Managing Director.
Protecting personal data is something we all need to do, whether it belongs to customers, suppliers or employees it’s all really important, so here’s a few simple things you can all do to help:
- Lock your computer screens when you step away from your desk, even if only for a few minutes
- Don’t leave laptops and phones in your car overnight
- Have a clear out and throw away any information you don’t use anymore
- If you keep personal data in paper format, make sure it’s locked away when not in use
- Make sure your passwords are safe, don’t write them down for others to find
But the most important thing to remember is treat any personal information as you’d want others to treat yours…
No-one wants their personal details lost or stolen, so think of it as yours!
