A J & E Hall JCC 25E cellar cooler has been installed in the bar at the new Somerlea Park Community Centre at Leabrooks, Alfreton in Derbyshire. The cellar cooler keeps beers, wines and soft drinks at the optimum temperature at the bar in the distinctive wood-clad building. The centre offers an impressive range of facilities which include a café-diner, function hall and conference room, an internet room, a gym and changing rooms for football pitches and bowling greens.
The centre, serving the ex-coalfield community of Somercotes, cost more than £700,000 to build. Financial support for the project was received from the National Lottery, the Coalfields Regeneration Trust and Derby and Derbyshire Economic Partnership.
The 2.5kW cellar cooler was installed by the IMS division of electrical contractors M.W. Cripwell of Burton on Trent in Staffordshire. Business manager David Hithersay said: “It was a very straightforward job. The J & E Hall cellar cooler fitted the bill nicely. The community centre staff are delighted with their new cellar cooler – and so are the customers too. It’s a good result all round.” Besides working in air conditioning and ventilation, M.W.Cripwell services include high efficiency lighting, power, process machinery, robotic and production line installations as well as working with local health authorities and undertaking major projects. Staff also have experience in working within a broad variety of building and refurbishment projects and are qualified to carry out electrical installations in hazardous areas.
