News - J & E Hall Cellar Cooler Delights Fat Cat Crowd

THE busy Derby nightspot, the Fat Cat Café Bar, keeps its beers and wines at a perfect temperature thanks to the J & E Hall cellar cooler system. The Fat Cat Café Bar in Friargate can be found in a Victorian building with an unusual layout, providing the challenge for installers, Air Resolve of Derby, of finding a direct pipe run from the cellar to the roof.

But the versatile nature of the system, including the winning combination of J & E Hall’s indoor unit and tried-and-tested R407c condensing unit, had all the answers. Air Resolve director John Felton said: “The J & E Hall cellar cooler was easy to install, in an old building with floors of properties crossing each other".

Manufactured in stainless steel for ease of cleaning, the J & E Hall indoor units can also be rear or top mounted to maximise space, flexibility needed in the tight confines of the Fat Cat Café Bar interior. All the installation work was completed in a day in time for the busy Christmas and New Year celebrations.

The technical specifications illustrate the value for money offered by the J & E Hall cellar cooler equipment. The cool storage split system and temperature preset, between 4 to 23 degrees C with a full electronic LED display, is fitted as standard.

Coils are manufactured with the six fin per inch brewery specification for easy maintenance. The range offers cooling capacities from 2.30 to 6.10 kW. Pipe runs can vary up to 45 metres. Optional extras include a fan speed controller, condensing unit wall brackets and condensate pump.

The system can also be used to prolong the life of fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers and other items requiring temperature-controlled environments.
