Acson strikes gold at popular restaurant
PAPAGENO Restaurant, Covent Garden, London, has gone for gold in the real sense of the word after installing Acson air conditioning equipment from distributors Cooling and Heating Sales of Brentwood and Cannock. Twenty-two carat gold leaf has been applied to all air conditioning fittings and ducting in the dining area to maintain an Arabian Nights’ theme throughout the restaurant.

Acson ACC 60CR and Acson ACC 125CR 16kW and 35kW single split ducted systems have been fitted at the popular restaurant seating more than 700 people – one of the largest in London.  The installers were Ryan Air Conditioning Systems of south-east London.

Papageno is a popular venue, hosting a recent edition of the television programme Masterchef and a birthday party for singing legend Shirley Bassey.

Managing director of Ryan Air Conditioning Systems, Ray Voice, said: “The décor really has to be seen to be believed. The Acson system in the dining area looks fantastic in gold.”

The ACC 60CR and ACC 125CR units have Copeland scroll compressors within the condensing unit, providing outstanding reliability and pipe run options. There is auto restart, which in a power failure will automatically restart at the last setting when the power resumes, a double protection drain system and a hard-wired controller provided as standard.

The single splits in this heat pump-based system run on R407C. “The 35 kW unit is an unusual choice but because the restaurant was so big, proved to be the right one. The compact size of the fan coils, the quality of the equipment, the support and the fact that the Acson system was such good value for money really made a difference” added Mr Voice.
